Grants & subsidies
Since Estonia has given up burning oil shale and is now in transition to carbon-free energy, several support programs from the Just Transition Fund have been opened in Ida-Virumaa. The purpose of the subsidies is to support companies that invest in Ida-Viru.

Due to the high activity in submitting applications to the Just Transition Fund and the excess of the submitted applications over the budget as of 03.09.2024, the submission of applications has been stopped for the following programs:
- Investment grant for Ida-Viru companies
- Investment grant for small and medium-sized Ida-Viru enterprises
The Grant for knowledge-intensive activities of Ida-Viru enterprises is still available.
Up to 15 million euros or more per project
All future clients of IVIA industrial parks can apply for grants from the Just Transition Fund. The amount of subsidies and the percentage of funding depend on the conditions of a specific program.
One of the main criteria for the projects is the creation of new jobs in our county.
In particular, it is possible to receive a grant for the expansion or transfer of production to Ida-Viru, including for the purchase of land, construction of a building, purchase and installation of equipment.

The “window of opportunity” for using subsidies from the Just Transition Fund is open only until 31 August 2026 (the deadline for completion of projects).
If you are planning to expand your business or launch a new direction, we suggest that you consider the possibility of implementing this project with us, in Ida-Viru.
In Ida-Viru you can receive compensation for the costs of building a plant from the Just Transition Fund in the amount of 25%-45% of the project cost.
